Strathisla 12 year old

Strathisla Distillery grundades illegalt redan 1786.

Buteljeringen sker i Newbridge utanför Edinburgh.

Eftersmak: söt, behaglig lenhet, kryddig lite fat, vanilj

Rekommenderas varmt.

Strathisla Distillery was founded illegally already 1786th It is with certainty the oldest distillery in Speyside, and suggests that Dominicans monks brewed beer in the area as early as the 1200s.
The two pagodas that it prides itself on today, was probably among the first in Scotland. In fact, one C-labeled Strathisla Distillery, thanks to its beautiful appearance. It is owned by Chivas Brothers, which also has its headquarters in the area and its own laboratory and research department.

Strathisla water use comes from the other side of the road by the distillery, the source of Fons Bullion ("The bubbling spring"). The barley they use comes from local suppliers (Paul of Buckie) and is lightly smoked.

The distillery uses used sherry and bourbon casks. The whisky is stored in Keith because they have no place for warehouse in the area. Bottling is done in Newbridge outside Edinburgh. Strathisla 1999 produced approximately two million gallons. Strathisla is usually associated with the blended variety, Chivas Regal.
